I offer paid picture book critiques for $100, with a turnaround time of about 1-2 weeks.

I will review manuscripts up to 1,000 words. I provide in-line comments and overall feedback on the strengths of the story and areas that could be improved.

When providing notes, I consider the following: character development, voice, narrative and emotional arcs, plot, setting, structure, pacing and tension, word choice, premise, theme, layers, audience, illustration potential for each spread, page turns, read-aloud-ability, beginnings and endings, and marketability.
